Step 2: Make settings

After the DVD source movie has been imported, the DVD structure will display on the left, and the settings compression on the right. Being default you will enter full Disc mode.

Usually, you can make settings for Video and Audio to get a smaller size. To change the video compression ratio, click the compression drop-down list, and change automatically to Custom ratio and drag the ratio bar to the desired position. You might notice that the size of the video on the left will change in line.

Audio and Subpicture (subtitles) can occupy a large size on a DVD disc. In DVD Shrink, you can easily delete useful audio and subtitles by disabling related options.

Author’s re-mode lets you create custom DVDs. In the author’s reset mode, you cannot save the original DVD menu and DVD structure, but you can add additional titles and they will be played in sequence. To add a title, just double-click on the video, or right-click and select ” Add ” in the resulting menu.

Step 3: Ready to burn DVDs with DVD Burning Software

Now click the “Backup!” Button to make settings before copying a movie DVD. This most important setting is in the Target tab device.

Here select the backup target DVD Burner, Hard Disk Folder or ISO Image File. Anyone will ask for your DVD burning software to burn a backup copy of the DVD. If you select DVD Burner as a target and Nero has been installed, you can immediately burn a DVD copy. If not, you need to select the Hard Disk Folder or ISO Image File and use standalone DVD burning software, such as ImgBurn, CDBurnerXP, DVD Creator , etc.
